February is Fine Free for Friends of Wamego Public Library. If you are a member of the Friends, we will clear any fines on your account during month of February—just present your ‘Friend of the Library Card’ at the front desk. This is just one of the perks of becoming a Friend of WPL.

Family Night is having a party in honor of Dr. Seuss’s 108th Birthday. So come in to join us for some “Green Eggs and Ham” snacks, a “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” guessing game, songs, rhymes and (of course) stories. You can even make a “Cat in the Hat” hat and Cat’s Hat Snacks!
For parents/caregivers and children. There is no fee.

Thursday, March 1
from 4pm to 7pm
We will be showing you how to make simple scarves from yarn strands.
Cost: 50¢ per strand – the average scarf is 6 strands ($3).
For ages 14+, or younger with adult supervision.
No sign up necessary, just drop in between 4pm and 7pm.

We are happy to partner with the Beatrix Potter Society to bring a series of special Potter-themed programs to the Wamego Public Library.
On Monday, March 5th visit the library to learn more about Beatrix Potter, enjoy festive readings of her iconic children’s stories, and participate in a craft or activity.
Linda Mackey will share Potter’s magical world with children the second Monday of each month, through May at 4:00 pm.
For children in grades K-3rd.
Registration is required.
The Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 6 at 6pm. The public is invited to attend.
Wednesday, March 21 @ Noon
The Afternoon Book Club will meet to discuss The Last Cattle Drive by Robert Day. Coffee and tea provided.
Book Club meets the third Wednesday of each month at noon. New members are always welcome to attend!
Books are available to pick up at the front desk.
Thursday, March 22nd @ 6pm
Make a unique piece of art for your home. You will need to bring a picture of your front door (or a front door that you like), and a quote about house or home to the workshop. All other supplies will be provided.
Cost is $3 per person and will be taught by Chris Olson.
